Give a younger market access to a quality product that was both affordable and aspiring.

Create a Japanese restaurant that was to be very individual – a hybrid of sophistication with an underground twist.

Chotte Matte is located in a 60’s building at the north end of Frith St, Soho London. The internal dining space is 450sqm, included within this is approximately 100sqm bar area with external dining along the Frith St frontage. A fifteen meter long street artwork runs along the full length of the restaurant covered with a hand made slumped glass skin.

Access to the restaurant is via a formal entrance off Frith St, entering a Reception Lobby with desk formed from a solid piece of lava stone and ceramic top. An illuminated spiral stair leads you up to the first floor where the diners find themselves immersed within the theater of the front of house robata grill and sushi bar.

The creativity continues within the basement where by customers find themselves walking past the giant florescent artwork before they find themselves within the slick WC.
